Hartwell PLC have appointed M+A to work alongside Scott Brownrigg in the delivery of new carbon efficient lab and workspace buildings at Wootton Science Park.

Located south-west of Oxford, this ambitious project encompasses approx. 106,000sqft of state-of-the-art laboratory space for small and medium sized science and technology companies alongside supporting amenities such as secure bike storage, a bistro and gym.

Landscape proposals aim to strengthen the distinct local landscape identity by incorporating ecology enhancements that enrich biodiversity and habitat on site. The protection of existing water resources and effective drainage management because of the site’s proximity to the fen, is paramount. Integration of a blue network into the landscape via rain gardens and sustainable urban drainage features aims to capture and utilise rainfall efficiently and minimize runoff to promote climate resilience. The design aims to enhance accessibility to parkland amenities and facilitate outdoor working facilities to create a vibrant and inclusive environment that fosters well-being and connectivity within the community.
