BREATHING LYE INTO ST ALBANS

With support of our landscape design and a Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA), Bellway Homes Barking Project Team has submitted a Reserved Matters Application for a residential development that will deliver up to 190 much needed new homes on the southern outskirts of St Albans.

Landscape-led placemaking is reinforced through the planting of 243 new trees and the delivery of generous open space, including 0.38ha of play provision for residents of all age groups and abilities. Working alongside GSA Architects and Aspect Ecology, the proposals include for suitable mitigation measures to ensure the development fits within the existing context sensitively.

The landscape will reinvigorate an existing orchard within the site to become a productive landscape that promotes access to nature, community engagement, healthy lifestyles, and social cohesion.
