A major milestone for Bath! Plans to transform a former garage site on Newbridge Road, Bath into a vibrant residential-led development for Hartwell PLC have been given the green light.

M+A worked closely with AHMM to earn permission for 104 high-quality homes, 186 bed student accommodation with associated retail space and public realm.

Celebrating Bath’s heritage while embracing modern living, the Newbridge Road development is a testament to Bath’s forward-thinking spirit and desire to seamlessly weave old into new. One key example of efforts to merge with Bath’s historic charm is the public realm frontage which aligns stylistically with the adjacent conservation area.

Prioritising community living and well-being, the development focuses on the creation of a central amenity space to foster community interactions and inter-generational living. A new east-west sustainable transport route is to improve connections to the town centre and open up a green corridor to facilitate biodiversity net gain.

With planning approval secured, bringing this ambitious vision to life and positively impacting the fabric of Bath’s urban landscape is the next step.
