GREEN LIGHT FOR FILM & TV MASTERPLAN

A new era for the TV and film industry is upon us with the green light given to state-of-the-art production facilities in Bedfordshire. With the operations by Home of Production (HOP), The masterplan features over 1.5 million sq ft of flexible studio space in a size and format unprecedented in the UK and caters to the growing demand for purpose-built production spaces in the UK.

The plans for the industry-transforming facilities, are bringing an exciting new use to the former brick quarry site as well as boosting the local economy with up to 3,800 jobs and skilled opportunities. Offices, food and beverage facilities as well as a crèche and a creative hub will line the central canal and boulevard.

M+A created an outstanding landscape masterplan alongside an excellent team made up of Scott Brownrigg, Litchfields, SWECO and LC Ecological. With a major focus on biodiversity, the landscape design helps to create a wonderfully lush setting for the TV and film studios operations with an eye-catching central green spine at its heart.
