Recognised with a Scottish Design Award, this community co-design project at the V&A Museum, Dundee formed an integral part of the waterfront regeneration. In collaboration with Kennedy Twaddle Architects and Lindsey McIntosh, the group won the competition to lead the community garden project for the V&A Museum. Since then, the project has been developed with the community co-designer.
The project involved working in partnership with a team of individuals from across the city who were part of the acclaimed ‘Art Angel’ programme, actively seeking to improve their health and well-being through art therapy by engaging them in the garden design process. Design was used as an engagement tool to create multi-use, welcoming public gardens centred around flexible community space.
