Leading on from the highly popular Wandsworth Riverside scheme by developers London Town, Barratt Homes bought into the southern area at Osiers Road. The proposed Osiers Gate development was an ambitious series of towers close to the confluence of the Wandle River and the Thames in Wandsworth.
Our commission covered public realm and landscape design with TVIA assessment for this significant residential development. The public realm strategy delivered legible connectivity throughout the scheme with a clear hierarchy of spaces and a series of new squares with riverside gateways.
We headed up the Townscape and Visual Impact consultancy testing appropriate tower massing options for this prominent riverside. This important work required an initial baseline investigation of the existing townscape character, before making an assessment of the townscape and visual effects of the proposed development working with the architects to achieve optimal massing appropriate to the locality.
