LOW LINE COMMONS BOUNDS ONWARDS!

The worthy Low Line Commons initiative soars on, shortlisted for a Pineapple Award in the ‘Future Public Realm’ category.

Commissioned by the Low Line Partners (Better Bankside, Team London Bridge, Blue Bermondsey, Southwark Council and the Arch Company), the ongoing urban regeneration initiative saw us working with PDP London (lead consultant), Greengage and Studio 4215 to develop a green and sustainable vision for the railway viaducts that run through Bankside, London Bridge and Bermondsey.

Aiming to create a continuous walking route and connect diverse neighbourhoods and communities on both sides of this Victorian structure, the project serves as a critical resource enabling a framework for all those committed to transforming the Low Line. The vision includes: robust green infrastructure breathing air into urban Southwark; an identifiable green corridor to join together diverse neighbourhoods; and an inspiration through greening initiatives for urban regeneration.
