NEW DESIGN DIRECTOR AT M+A
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Pierre Chin-Dickey as a new Director to our London studio from 1st January. Pierre has been with the practice for 4 years working across the full spectrum of the practice’s commissions. He is currently working on several major regeneration schemes and is looking forward to expanding the collaborative and environmental design capabilities of the practice.
Pierre has specialist training and education in environmental and sustainable design and technical landscape engineering. His design ethos stems from his birth home of Alaska, where nature prevailed and care for the environment was of the upmost importance. He has been further motivated by the climate crisis to ensure urban regeneration schemes contribute to the wider ecological and social experience of the city.
He continued his professional career in San Diego and San Francisco for 6 years, planning and delivering a variety of public realm and institutional schemes. In early 2017, Pierre moved to the UK and started at Macfarlane + Associates finding the collaborative environment to be a great conduit for his experience from the United States. In the last few years, he has been leading the project delivery portfolio, then major planning projects for urban regeneration schemes, and now has taken on an even more significant role in the strategic business objectives of the Practice.
Glen Macfarlane, Founding Principal said, “Pierre’s experience and knowledge of both our company and the industry brings a great strength to our business and I am delighted to see him joining the board and driving the company forward. His input from a technical perspective will be hugely significant as we plan the next phase of the business’ growth and expansion”
