KICK-OFF FOR WHITE CITY MALL, BAKU

Marking a bold new chapter for Baku, Azerbaijan, we are proud to be progressing the public realm masterplan for the Coastal District, a cornerstone of the ambitious White City vision to reclaim former industrial land along the Caspian coastline.

Baku White City is transforming the historic “Black City” oil-refining district into a green, walkable and sustainable quarter across 220 hectares, one of 10 districts within a wider masterplan designed to raise quality of life for residents while helping diversify the local economy.

The Coastal District, a JV between PASHA Real Estate and Baku White City (ADEC) signed at WUF13, delivers a mixed-use waterfront quarter. Our work focuses on the public realm strategy, with the masterplan led by Chapman Taylor Architects for White City Mall, landmark buildings, hotels, a museum and a wonderful new 10km Baku Boulevard coastal extension.
