Hookwood in Motion

With support of our specialist landscape design services, Vistry Group has submitted a Reserved Matters Application for a residential development that will deliver 446 new homes within Hookwood, Surrey.

Working alongside GDM Architects, landscape-led placemaking is reinforced through the planting of more than 450 new trees and the delivery of generous open space. Allotments and a community orchard form a productive landscape to encourage healthy living and social cohesion, alongside multiple LEAPs and informal play on the way for all age groups and abilities and enjoy. Future community facilities are supported with a NEAP, with fixed equipment to offer a new challenge to the community.

The open space design addresses crucial features, including existing woodland on the site, nearby streams and the immediate floodplain, and potential connections to future development. The soft landscape will introduce swathes of wildflower grassland, native scrub and tree planting to merge seamlessly with the existing landscape character, encourage access to nature and healthy living, and provide a strong buffer to the local natural setting of the site.
