M+A are pleased to announce that Hamsey Lakeside development has been granted planning permission. Working alongside Scott Brownrigg, we were responsible for the land planning and design of the external spaces in addition to the LVIA.
The 2 ha. development comprises of 12 custom built homes around a man-made lake, which historically formed part of the old clay pit. A sensitive, light touch has been applied to the landscape design, which respects and enhances the existing landscape and natural site characteristics.

The masterplan enables views of the South Downs and more intimate views of the immediate lakeside landscape and adjacent ancient woodlands. A circuitous trail with play nodes has been designed around the lake to encourage an active life style, with a larger play area integrated into the dry attenuation SUDS basin.
