CHESTHUNT REIMAGINED

We are delighted to announce our appointment by GLH Cheshunt Ltd to provide landscape design services for the submission of a Full Planning Application for two key sites within the wider Cheshunt Lakeside masterplan. Working alongside Rolfe Judd Architecture and CMA Planning, we will help shape the next stage of this significant regeneration project.

The 31.6-acre (12.8-hectare) site forms part of a wider development area that already benefits from outline planning permission for up to 1,725 new homes. Galliard Homes are revising the proposals to ensure the development remains both deliverable and sustainable.

The proposals will transform a collection of tenanted and vacant industrial and warehouse buildings into a vibrant new residential neighbourhood, complemented by high-quality public open spaces and enhanced community infrastructure.

Our landscape-led approach will focus on creating a connected, resilient and people-centred environment. Key objectives include strengthening links between existing and proposed green spaces, improving access to nature, enhancing local bus routes and pedestrian connectivity, and delivering a flood-resilient landscape that responds to the site’s environmental context.

By weaving together a comprehensive network of open spaces, the proposals will help foster healthier lifestyles, encourage active travel, and create opportunities for communities to connect. The landscape strategy will play a central role in establishing a distinctive sense of place while supporting biodiversity and long-term environmental resilience.

We look forward to contributing to the continued evolution of Cheshunt Lakeside and helping deliver a thriving new neighbourhood that brings together homes, green infrastructure and community-focused public spaces.
