M+A teamed up with HTA Design to deliver 1200 homes and almost 7,000m2 of meaningful public realm and urban green space for Telford Homes and Sainsburys.

Injecting a new green heart into Ilford with multi-generational community spaces appealing to the local broad ethnic diversity, Chapel Place is a transit-oriented residential-led development only a short walk away from the sparklingly new Elizabeth Line station.

Ensuring that all play targets were met on site and that healthy active living was fostered through high-quality multi-generational play spaces was integral to maintaining LB Redbridge’s status as a UNICEF Child Friendly Borough.

Our meaningful public realm concept is inspired by the legacy of Alfred Harman and his brain-child, Ilford Ltd the photographic-plate factory, from where many innovative photographic technologies impacted the field of photography and made Ilford Ltd, a world-class name.
