A milestone has been reached on the transformation of a former garage site on Newbridge Road, Bath into a residential-led development for Hartwell PLC. Working with AHMM, a planning application has now been submitted for 104 new high-quality homes as well as 186 bed student accommodation, retail space and public realm.

The Newbridge Road development is a testament to Bath’s forward-thinking spirit and desire to merge old with new, celebrating Bath’s heritage while embracing modern living. Merging seamlessly with Bath’s historic charm, public realm frontage aligns stylistically with the adjacent conservation area.

Prioritising community living and well-being, the development focuses on the creation of a central amenity space to foster community interactions and inter-generational living. A new east-west sustainable transport route is to improve connections to the town centre and open up a green corridor to facilitate biodiversity net gain.
