BATH ROAD, BRISTOL – BEST OF BOTH WORLDS

A delightful setting on the banks of Bristol’s River Avon for a major regeneration scheme with Clarion Group, spanning over 4 blocks with over 150 homes, is now underway. This residential led mixed- use development includes 112 apartments for shared ownership and 40 for affordable rent, making it one of the largest shared ownership schemes in Bristol.

With new electric trains cutting journey times by half, living in commuter belt towns like Bristol and travelling into London for work is becoming a largely popular and viable option for many.

M+A were commissioned onto the delivery team led by Mid-Group Contractors alongside Lewis and Hickey Architects. The public realm features a publicly accessible riverside walk along River Avon that connects the commercial units, public plaza for community events, and raised amenity terraces. The river promenade is suspended above, due to the steep grade of 7 meters level change between Bath Road, the river and existing trees along the banks, requiring extraordinary landscape engineering.

Due for completion in 2022, this 17-storey scheme will be amongst the tallest buildings in Bristol and create a major new landmark for the city.
