BARKING RIVERSIDE PLOT 208A – BARKING MAD!

Planning permission has now been granted for Phase 5 of Barking Riverside by the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham. On land formerly occupied by Barking Power Station, the 1-hectare plot 208A is one of seven plots being brought forward by various developers within the Stage Two North of the wider Barking Riverside Development.

Our work with Stockwool Architects for client Bellway Homes offers the opportunity to mark the start of The Boulevard – a strategic east-west green route of neighbourhood parks.

Having been involved on multiple plots within the masterplan, our work connects with the larger Barking Riverside framework which aims to create a place for people of all backgrounds to live, work, play and gather as well as increase biodiversity and urban green infrastructure on site.

Initially masterplanned by Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands (LDS) architects the masterplan seeks to deliver 10,800 residential units and 65,000 sqm of commercial floor space together with a series of large open spaces, public squares and brand-new rail station with bus and river transport interchange providing excellent links to central London.
