BARKING RIVERSIDE – FULL OF EASTERN PROMISE

Once one of the largest brownfield sites in Europe formerly occupied by Barking Power Station, this area is now regenerated into a vibrant, eco-friendly, mixed-use community materialising on its prime location facing the banks of River Thames known to be Barking Riverside.

The development will see over 10,000 new homes, over 65,000 square metres of ground floor commercial floor space, community and leisure facilities, supported by a series of large high quality open spaces, public squares and a brand-new rail station with bus and river transport interchange providing excellent links to central London.

M+A have a continued strong association with Bellway Homes working on various individual plots within the masterplan currently under construction with an ongoing appointment to provide public realm and landscape consultancy as the development progresses. Our latest involvement will see us working closely with Stockwool Architects to deliver the Sub-Framework Plan for the site, which will capture the core design principles and requirements that the development aspires.
