REDEFINING READING

Plans to transform the 1970s shopping centre into a state-of-the-art, 600 unit BTR led development move one step forward with a recently granted planning consent from Reading Borough Council.

Located in central Reading, the site forms a significant part of the wider strategic Minster Quarter Development for which the council is looking for a JV partner. This project refines and builds upon a previously approved 422 unit scheme from 2020, with a fresh focus on technical delivery and improved design outcomes.

In partnership with McLaren Living and AEW, and alongside AHR Architects, M+A are creating a public realm that respects and celebrates the site’s civic heritage. The design includes high-quality podium courtyards, roof terraces with panoramic views across Reading, and generous, flexible amenity spaces tailored to modern living, including integrated play features for families.
