BOURNE FOR REGENERATION

In a double kick-off at Sittingbourne, a reserved matters application for residential plots and a detailed planning application for a country park, has been submitted alongside Bellway Homes for Willowbrook, Kent. We have collaborated with GDM Architects and DHA Planning to create an exciting masterplan that will connect the existing Iwade settlement with a new 41ha country park. The development will comprise of 466 residential dwellings and new community hall facilities.

The landscape of the residential plots is thoughtfully designed to include new cycle infrastructure weaving through green corridors. Residents will enjoy dedicated play areas and tree lined streets fostering a family-friendly atmosphere. SuDs will be integrated to manage water flow naturally. Furthermore, the development will improve connectivity seamlessly, linking the existing Iwade settlement to the proposed country park.

The Country Park will significantly contribute towards the preservation of the existing Iwade brook. It will feature a community orchard, playing fields, ponds and attenuation basins with natural play elements, all surrounded by carefully crafted species-rich planting and swathes of wildflower meadow to create natural setting to the existing mature vegetation currently on site.
